Hindu Community Celebrates Dussehra at Lahore’s Shri Krishna Mandir

LAHORE (Nazrana Times): Members of the Hindu community and religious leaders gathered at Shri Krishna Mandir on Ravi Road, Lahore, to celebrate Dussehra at a ceremony organised under the management of the Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB).

Participants performed special puja, aarti and other religious rituals. Prayers were also offered for Pakistan’s development, prosperity, peace and security, as well as interfaith harmony.

Officials Extend Dussehra Greetings

Deputy Secretary (Shrines) Usman Khan and Deputy Secretary General Saadat Shahbaz Khan Kahoot attended the ceremony and congratulated the Hindu community on the festival.

Dussehra is an important Hindu festival symbolising the victory of good over evil. It is commonly associated with Lord Rama’s victory over Ravana.

Community Representatives Appreciate Arrangements

Representatives of the Hindu community appreciated the ETPB’s support for the maintenance, renovation and decoration of religious sites, along with arrangements for religious festivals.

They specifically thanked ETPB Chairman Qamar-ul-Zaman and Secretary Naseer Mushtaq for the facilities provided.

Participants said that enabling religious minorities in Pakistan to celebrate festivals according to their beliefs and traditions was a positive example of promoting interfaith harmony and national unity.
