Tangra - Surjit Singh Khalsa

An emergency meeting of Pensioner Welfare Federation Circle Tarn Taran was held under the leadership of Harjinder Singh Chohan Circle President in which state leaders Eng. Harjinder Singh Kohli, Malkit Singh Kang and Satish Kumar Sarhali were present in the meeting. Eng. Harjinder Singh Kohli was informed by Mandal President and Circle Secretary Lakhvir Singh Sandhu that pensioners are facing a lot of difficulties in many Mandals under Circle Tarn Taran. Eng. Harjinder Singh Kohli took this very seriously and asked the Superintending Engineer Circle Tarn Taran to take immediate action for this. The division staff, ignoring the orders of the Punjab Government and the Electricity Board Chairman, did not apply the arrears of pay scale, dearness allowance and leave encashment arrears of pensioners even with the pension of the month of May, which shows that such staff do not care about the orders of the government, the board and their higher authorities. Malkit Singh Kang and Harjinder Singh Chohan assured Lakhbir Singh Rashiana, Harpal Singh, Ishar Singh, Balwinder Singh and the division president and asked the supervising engineer and the concerned executive engineers to immediately resolve the employee problem so that the peaceful atmosphere is not disturbed. Eng. Harjinder Singh Kohli said that the board management has neglected and delayed the payment of the arrears of the pensioners, which has not only inconvenienced the pensioners but also caused the board and government orders to not implement them and the concerned employees/officials should be given appropriate punishment to take appropriate action and the arrears of the pensioners along with interest should be paid. If it is not released immediately, the Pensioner Welfare Federation will be forced to hold talks with the state leaders and surround all the mandals and circle offices of the Tarn Taran circle. In the meeting, Gurmeet Singh, Gurdeep Singh, Sukhchain Singh, Balbir Singh, Narinder Singh, Tirath Ram, Mukhtiar Singh, Sukhdev Singh, Raj Kumar, Surjit Singh, Suchbir Singh, Jagir Singh, Harjit Singh, Nirmal Singh, Kuldeep Singh, Bhupinder Singh, Tarlochan Singh, Piara Singh, Tarlochan Singh, Manjit Singh, Gurmeet Singh, Gurmej Singh gave their views.
