Today marks the 11th martyrdom anniversary of Captain Shumaila Nadeem Shaheed (AFNS) — the first female officer of the Pakistan Army to embrace martyrdom in the ongoing war against terrorism.
Captain Shumaila Nadeem Shaheed was serving at CMH Rawalpindi and had been promoted to the rank of Captain just six months before her shahadat. On 2nd November 2014, she, along with her husband, two young daughters — Hania and six-month-old Inaya, and her 14-year-old niece Rimsha, embraced martyrdom in the Wagah Border suicide bomb attack.
Her supreme sacrifice and courage continue to inspire generations of Pakistanis, symbolizing the unwavering spirit and strength of the nation’s daughters who stand shoulder to shoulder with their male counterparts in defending Pakistan.
#LahuKiRoshni — Her blood remains the light of our nation. 🇵🇰
