Today marks the 11th martyrdom anniversary of Captain Shumaila Nadeem Shaheed (AFNS) — the first female officer of the Pakistan Army to embrace martyrdom in the ongoing war against terrorism.
Captain Shumaila Nadeem Shaheed was serving at CMH Rawalpindi and was promoted to the rank of Captain just six months before her martyrdom. On 2nd November 2014, she, along with her husband, two beloved daughters — Hania and six-month-old Inaya, and her 14-year-old niece Rimsha, embraced martyrdom in the Wagah Border suicide bomb attack.
Captain Shumaila Nadeem Shaheed’s courage, dedication, and ultimate sacrifice continue to inspire millions across Pakistan. Her legacy stands as a symbol of the nation’s daughters who serve and sacrifice alongside their brothers in defense of their homeland.
