Death Anniversary of Maharaja Ranjeet Singh to Be Commemorated at Gurdwara Dera Sahib, Lahore

The Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB), in collaboration with the Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (PSGPC), will observe the death anniversary of shere Punjab Maharaja Ranjeet Singh on Sunday, June 29, 2025, at the historic Gurdwara Dera Sahib, Lahore.
The commemoration ceremony will be attended by prominent dignitaries, including Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Sardar Muhammad Yousaf, ETPB Chairman Dr. Sajid Mahmood Chohan, and PSGPC President & minister for minorities 'Human rights govt of Punjab Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora. Members of the PSGPC and a large number of Sikh devotees (sangat) from across the region are also expected to be present.
The event aims to honor the legacy of Maharaja Ranjeet Singh, the revered Sikh ruler known for his secular leadership and promotion of religious harmony during the 19th century.
According to the Public Relations Officer of ETPB, Ghulam Mohyuddin, all arrangements have been made for the smooth conduct of the event, and media representatives have been invited to provide coverage.
The ceremony will begin at 10:30 AM at Gurdwara Dera Sahib, located adjacent to the Lahore Fort and Badshahi Mosque—an iconic symbol of interfaith unity and historical heritage.
