MQM Pakistan Punjab Emphasizes Strengthening Local Governments and Citizen Welfare

Multan: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Pakistan Punjab held a meeting focusing on strengthening the local government system and addressing the problems of ordinary citizens at the grassroots level. The meeting was chaired by Inter-Provincial Organizational Committee Joint Incharge Zahid Malik Bhai.
Punjab President Chaudhry Abid Gujjar stated that MQM Pakistan will actively participate in the upcoming local body elections and provide opportunities for educated and capable middle-class citizens across the province to take part.
Secretary-General Karamat Ali Sheikh highlighted that MQM Pakistan is the only political party capable of bringing real political and economic change in the country. He cited the example of Syed Mustafa Kamal, who, as Mayor of Karachi, transformed the city and made it one of the fastest-developing cities globally.
He further stated that, Insha’Allah, MQM Pakistan will achieve significant success in Punjab’s local body elections and play a practical political role in ending hereditary family politics and the outdated feudal system in the province.
The meeting was attended by senior vice presidents, zonal presidents, Punjab Women’s Wing leaders, and general secretaries, including Chaudhry Sarwar Gujjar, Mirza Saeed Ahmed Baig, Mian Rafiq, Abdul Kareem Toke Khan, Raza (Lahore), Malik Zulfiqar Ali Mirza (Faisalabad), Mateen Khan (Rawalpindi), Sheikh Izhar (D.G. Khan), Shehbaz Jutt (Gujranwala), Iffat Malik Baaji, Samiya Naz Baaji, Dr. Safia Baaji, Dr. Insa Baaji, Yasmeen Baaji, Waheed Gujjar, Basharat, Nadeem Baloch, B.A. Khan, Adnan Advocate, and Zahid Khan.
