350th Martyrdom Anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur: Nagar Kirtan Moves from Gwalior to Ashok Nagar

As part of the 350th martyrdom anniversary commemorations of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji, the Nagar Kirtan that began from Assam today proceeded from Gurdwara Data Bandi Chhod Sahib, Gwalior, to its next destination, Gurdwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha, Ashok Nagar.

Before the departure, a religious congregation was held where the Hazoori Raagi Jatha of Bhai Gurditt Singh from Sri Darbar Sahib performed Gurbani Kirtan. Giani Rajdeep Singh, Granthi Singh of Sri Harmandir Sahib, shared insights into the life and sacrifice of the Ninth Guru.

SGPC Secretary S. Pratap Singh said that the Nagar Kirtan has generated great enthusiasm among devotees, spreading the message of Guru Sahib’s sacrifice while inspiring faith.

On this occasion, Baba Seva Singh Khadoor Sahib wale honored the Panj Pyare, Nishanchi Singhs, and prominent dignitaries with Siropao.

Along its route through Gwalior, Jhansi, Datia, Shivpuri, and Guna, the Nagar Kirtan received a grand welcome with devotees showering flowers.
