Bharati Kana Ram Honored by Punjab Minister for Academic Excellence

The Provincial Minister for Minority Affairs, Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora, hosted a special luncheon in honor of Bharati Kana Ram, who secured second position in the Bahawalpur Board’s matriculation examinations. The event, held at the Human Rights Department, was a tribute to Bharati’s outstanding academic achievement and a symbol of the Punjab Government’s commitment to promoting education, especially among minorities and girls.
On her arrival, Bharati received a warm welcome from officials. In a symbolic and heartfelt gesture, Minister Arora invited her to sit in his official chair—a mark of deep respect for her accomplishments. He presented her with a cash prize, while the Human Rights Department announced the award of a laptop to support her further studies. Minister Arora also shared that Bharati would be included in the department’s e-learning program to enhance her academic journey.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Minister stated,
“Students like Bharati are the embodiment of the Chief Minister Punjab’s vision for an educated and empowered society. The success of students from government schools is truly inspiring. I commend the Chief Minister and the Education Minister for their dedication to raising educational standards across Punjab.”
In her response, Bharati expressed gratitude and shared her dreams:
“I aspire to pursue a Ph.D. and help other girls gain access to quality education. I am truly thankful to the Punjab Government and the Chief Minister for their encouragement and support.”
The luncheon was attended by several dignitaries, including Parliamentary Secretary for Human Rights Sonia Asher, Secretary Fareed Ahmad Tarar, Additional Secretary Rizwana Naveed, and other senior officials.
