ETPB Tightens Financial Discipline, Recovers Rs. 25 Crore Under Chairman’s Directives

The Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) has intensified its financial discipline and administrative accountability under the special directives of its Chairman. As part of these reforms, the Board has successfully recovered Rs. 25 crore, 7 lakh, 62 thousand, and 467 from defaulters across various districts.
The Deputy Secretary (Property) has ordered all administrators and deputy administrators to expedite the recovery of outstanding dues and submit progress reports to headquarters within five days.
Effective Measures in Faisalabad and Sargodha Zones
Following the directions of Administrator Faisalabad Zone, Saleem Gondal, Deputy Administrator Hassan Turab and Inspector Urban Aamir Hussain Hashmi from the Sargodha office have taken firm actions against defaulters. Simultaneously, operations against illegal occupants continue under a zero-tolerance policy.
99% Completion in Rent Reassessment
The Sargodha District (Western Zone Faisalabad) has achieved remarkable progress by completing 99% of the reassessment of Waqf property rents, reflecting the administrator’s effective leadership.
Strict Implementation of Reassessment Policy 2006
All zonal officers have been instructed to strictly enforce the Reassessment Policy 2006. Meanwhile, the Secretary of the Board has formed a committee to identify and take action against employees involved in corruption or malpractice.
Non-Muslim Properties Declared National Trusts
The ETPB has reaffirmed that all non-Muslim properties registered under gurdwaras and temples are national trusts, warning that any misuse or illegal occupation will not be tolerated.
Recoveries and Pending Reports
Reports have been received from 11 districts, while 15 districts are yet to submit their recovery data. So far, recoveries have totaled Rs. 25 crore+, showcasing visible improvement in financial governance.
Special Squad for Anti-Encroachment Drive
To strengthen the ongoing anti-encroachment operations initiated in Nankana Sahib, a special squad has been formed to monitor land-grabbing cases and submit daily performance reports.
The ETPB’s proactive reforms highlight the government’s renewed commitment to transparency, accountability, and safeguarding trust properties nationwide.
