Jalandhar Grenade Attack: Police Bans Pakistani Don Shehzad Bhatti's Instagram in India

The Punjab Police has taken strict action following a grenade attack on the house of YouTuber and influencer Navdeep Singh Sandhu, popularly known as Dr. Roger Sandhu in Jalandhar. The police have banned the Instagram account of Pakistani don Shehzad Bhatti in India after he claimed responsibility for the attack through a video post.

It is noteworthy that Shehzad Bhatti had orchestrated the attack in Raipur Rasulpur, Jalandhar, and later posted a video on Instagram, openly taking credit for it. As soon as Punjab Police learned about this incident, they immediately worked on tracing the source of the responsibility claim. During the investigation, it was confirmed that Bhatti had taken responsibility through his social media account. Following this, the police requested Instagram to ban his account in India, and within hours, Instagram complied, restricting access to Bhatti’s profile in India.

Now, none of Shehzad Bhatti’s social media accounts can be accessed within India.

Grenade Did Not Explode, Major Tragedy Averted

The attack targeted the second floor of Dr. Roger Sandhu’s house, but fortunately, the grenade did not explode, preventing a major disaster. As soon as the authorities were alerted, SSP Gurmeet Singh, SP (D) Jasroop Kaur Bath, DSP Kartarpur Surinderpal Dhogri, BSF personnel, and other police officials reached the spot.

The area was immediately sealed off, and a bomb disposal squad was called in. After almost three hours of intense efforts, the team successfully defused the grenade. Following this, both local residents and police officials breathed a sigh of relief.

Pakistani Don’s Threat Video Goes Viral on Social Media

After the attack, Shehzad Bhatti posted another video on social media, issuing threats. In the video, he warned that anyone who targets Islam, the nation, institutions, or religion will face similar consequences.

The video also shows an individual instructing another person to throw the grenade onto the second floor. The clip quickly went viral, causing widespread concern. However, Punjab Police assured the public not to panic and stated that they are actively handling the situation.

Dr. Roger Sandhu’s Response

YouTuber Dr. Roger Sandhu addressed the media, stating that he has never spoken against any religion or country. He claimed that such attacks are merely attention-seeking tactics.

Police Investigation Intensifies, Arrests Expected Soon

According to police officials, technical teams, crime branch investigators, and special teams from Chandigarh are conducting a thorough investigation. CCTV footage from Sandhu’s house and entry/exit points of the village is being analyzed.

SSP Gurmeet Singh stated that the police are actively tracking the culprits and will soon arrest the gangsters responsible for this attack.
