Jathedar Gargajj raises issue of release of Prof Devinderpal Singh Bhullar with Delhi CM Singh

During her visit today to pay obeisance at Sachkhand Sri Harmandar Sahib along with ministers of her cabinet, Delhi Chief Minister (CM) Mrs Rekha Gupta met the Acting Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, Giani Kuldip Singh Gargajj, at the Secretariat of Sri Akal Takht Sahib.
During the interaction, Jathedar Giani Kuldip Singh Gargajj told Delhi CM Mrs Rekha Gupta that the case of Bandi Singh (Sikh political prisoner) Prof. Devinderpal Singh Bhullar has been pending with her government and that his release could be ensured with just her one signature. He said that former Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal of Aam Aadmi Party kept Prof. Devinderpal Singh’s case pending, and the present BJP government has a good opportunity to release him from prison.
He added that whenever the nation’s security is at stake, it is the youth of Punjab who stand at the forefront and make the greatest sacrifices.
The issue raised by Jathedar Gargajj was listened to attentively by the Delhi CM, who assured that efforts would be made to resolve the matter.
Present on the occasion were Jathedar Giani Tek Singh of Takht Sri Damdama Sahib, Granthi Singh Sahib Giani Keval Singh of Sachkhand Sri Harmandar Sahib, Head Granthi Singh Sahib Giani Juginder Singh of Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib, and Panj Piare of Sri Akal Takht Sahib including Giani Mangal Singh, along with several ministers of the Delhi government’s cabinet.
