PMML Rescues Over 2,000 People in Jalalpur Pirwala Amid Worsening Floods

The Pakistan Markazi Muslim League (PMML) continues its extensive rescue and relief operations in flood-affected areas across the country. In Jalalpur Pirwala, over 2,000 stranded individuals were rescued via boats and shifted to safe locations as floodwaters continue to rise alarmingly. The operation is being overseen by Chairman of Khidmat-e-Khalq PMML, Chaudhry Shafiq-ur-Rehman Warraich, who visited the site and directed the teams to intensify rescue efforts.

PMML President Khalid Masood Sindhu has issued ongoing directives to mobilize party resources for humanitarian aid. Relief activities are active across flood-hit districts in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Gilgit-Baltistan, where cooked meals, dry rations, medical treatment, and safe transportation are being provided.

In Bahawalnagar, Ejaz-ul-Haq, head of Muslim League-Zia, visited the PMML flood relief camp at Bhukan Pattan on the banks of River Sutlej. He praised the party’s efforts and described the services as “outstanding and exemplary.”

Qari Muhammad Yaqub Sheikh, Joint Secretary of PMML, visited a tent village set up in Rangpur, Muzaffargarh for flood victims. He personally distributed food among affected families. He was accompanied by local leaders including Imran Liaqat Bhatti and Zahid Hamdani.

In a dramatic rescue in Liaqatpur Tehsil, PMML’s Rahim Yar Khan rescue team saved a man who was swept away in floodwaters. The party’s volunteers are using boats to evacuate women, children, and livestock to safety across Punjab’s worst-hit areas.Relief Operations Widespread Across Pakistan .Relief camps and tent villages have been set up in Lahore, Kasur, Bahawalpur, Chiniot, Muzaffargarh, Gujranwala, Rawalpindi, Sialkot, Nankana, Gujrat, Pakpattan, Arifwala, Lodhran, Jhang, Narowal, and more. The 18th relief convoy from PMML Rawalpindi has been dispatched to Chiniot.

The Khidmat-e-Khalq wing of PMML is actively leading efforts in hard-to-reach flood-hit areas. In Arifwala, boats are delivering food and supplies to villages surrounded by the dangerous floodwaters of the Sutlej River.

In Bajaur, PMML inaugurated a special education center named “Madadgar School” for flood-affected children. The opening ceremony was attended by Assistant Commissioner Khar Bajaur Kaleem Jan, along with MSL (Muslim Students League) leaders including Anas Mohsi, Umar Abbas, and Hammad Abdul Razzaq. Children were gifted copies of the Quran and educational supplies.

Chairman Shafiq-ur-Rehman Warraich emphasized “Serving humanity is the core mission of PMML. Our relief efforts will continue until every affected family is safely resettled.” Ejaz-ul-Haq added during his visit “The humanitarian work carried out by Pakistan Markazi Muslim League is truly commendable. It offers hope and dignity to those affected.”
