Major Operation by Punjab Counter Narcotics Force in Sahiwal; Drug Smuggling Bid via Motorcycle Foiled

Lahore – June 5 (Nazrana Times)
Lahore/SAHIWAL In a major crackdown against drug trafficking, the Punjab Counter Narcotics Force (CNF) foiled an attempt to smuggle narcotics via a motorcycle near Sahoo Chowk. Acting on a tip-off from the arrested suspect, Talha Aslam, the CNF team later recovered over 52 kilograms of drugs worth Rs. 9 million from a Suzuki car.


According to officials, the seized contraband includes 36 kilograms of charas (hashish) and 16 kilograms of opium. Legal proceedings against the arrested accused have been initiated.
The Counter Narcotics Force has vowed to bring other facilitators of the network to justice soon. "The crackdown at the district level is ongoing across the entire province," an official said, adding that the Chief Minister's vision of a drug-free and safe Punjab will be ensured.
