Interfaith Eid Milan Brings Religious Leaders Together in Lahore

Annual Interfaith Eid Milan Party Held at Nolakha Presbyterian Church
Participants include Reverend Dr. Majid Abel, Maulana Tahir Ashrafi, Archbishop Azad Marshall, and leaders from various religions.
Former Provincial Minister Ijaz Alam, Parliamentary Secretary Sonia Ashir, and Former Senator Kamran Michael also in attendance.

The annual Interfaith Eid Milan (Eid Gathering) Party was hosted by Reverend Dr. Majid Abel at Nolakha Presbyterian Church, Lahore. The event was attended in large numbers by Chairman of the Ulema Council Pakistan, Maulana Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi; Bishop Azad Marshall; former Provincial Minister Ijaz Alam; Parliamentary Secretary Sonia Ashir; former Senator Kamran Michael; Members of the Punjab Assembly Tariq Masih Gill and Immanuel Athar; Professor Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri; Chairman of the All Pakistan Muslim Seats Board, Maulana Asim Makhdoom; members of the United Interfaith Organization; along with Mufti Ashique Hussain, Professor Dr. Mehmood Ghaznavi, and other distinguished guests and individuals belonging to various religions.
In his welcome address, Reverend Dr. Majid Abel welcomed all the esteemed guests and stated that events like the Eid Milan Party are excellent mediums for promoting interfaith harmony, love, tolerance, and national unity. He emphasized that followers of all religions live together with mutual respect and brotherhood in Pakistan, and such gatherings further strengthen this beautiful tradition.
In his address, Maulana Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi stated that interfaith harmony is a critical need of the time in Pakistan, and religious scholars will always continue to spread the message of peace, tolerance, and unity. He said that Islam teaches peace, love, and humanity. The common message of all religions is peace, love, and service to humanity, and we must foster mutual respect to maintain harmony in society.
Bishop Azad Marshall remarked that such events provide an excellent opportunity to bridge gaps between different religions and understand one another, and the positive role of minorities in Pakistan has always been commendable.
Professor Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri expressed his prayers for the establishment of peace and unity worldwide, noting the current alarming situation in the region. He emphasized that everyone must play a collective role for peace. He also paid tribute to Reverend Majid Abel for his unparalleled services in promoting interfaith harmony over the past twenty-five years.
Maulana Asim Makhdoom, in his brief address, also stressed the importance of unity, brotherhood, and religious harmony, stating that everyone must work together for the development of Pakistan.
Other participants, including former Provincial Minister for Human Rights Ijaz Alam and Parliamentary Secretary for Human Rights Sonia Ashir, also shared their thoughts. They paid tribute to Majid Abel for his invaluable services in promoting interfaith harmony and expressed their resolve to continue playing their role in fostering interfaith harmony.
At the conclusion of the event, Pastor Arif Siraj, Father Asif Sardar, Father Naqash, and Bishop Azad Marshall led special prayers for the integrity of Pakistan and global peace. Additionally, Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri was presented with a special shield for his election to the UNESCO Chair.
