Acting Governor Punjab Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan and Provincial Minister for Law Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan on Tuesday reaffirmed Pakistan's continued support for the Kashmiri people's right to self-determination while paying tribute to the sacrifices of police, armed forces and other law enforcement martyrs.
They were addressing a ceremony at DPS School Kasur held to mark Police Martyrs' Day and Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir, where they also inaugurated the newly constructed Cambridge Block.
The Acting Governor said the sacrifices of Pakistan's martyrs are the foundation of national peace and stability, while the Law Minister urged the international community to take notice of alleged human rights violations in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
The ceremony featured patriotic performances by students, prayers for the martyrs of Pakistan and Kashmir, and was attended by federal and provincial lawmakers, senior civil and police officials, teachers, students and local residents.
