Gagandeep Randhawa’s Death Case Echoes in Lok Sabha; MP Aujla Had Demanded NIA Probe, Now CBI to Investigate

Amritsar Member of Parliament Gurjeet Singh Aujla today raised the serious issue of the death of DM Dr. Gagandeep Singh Randhawa in the Lok Sabha, demanding a high-level investigation. Speaking in the House, Aujla said that the truth behind the case must come before the nation so that any possible gangster links or political patronage can be exposed.
Home Minister Assures Immediate Action
Following Aujla’s argument, Union Home Minister Amit Shah asked the Members of Parliament from Punjab to submit a written request regarding the matter. He assured that once the written complaint is received, the investigation will be handed over to the CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation).
Soon after this assurance, Gurjeet Singh Aujla along with other MPs submitted a formal letter to the Home Minister requesting a CBI inquiry. Aujla stated that this is not just the case of one officer’s death, but reflects the pressure on the administrative system and the real condition of the justice system.

Aujla made it clear that he is committed to ensuring strict punishment for the culprits and preventing such incidents in the future. He said, “This fight for truth and justice will continue till the end so that the morale of officers working in the administration remains strong.”
