Three-Day Religious Ceremony Held in Sialkot to Commemorate Arrival of Guru Nanak

Lahore, March 23, 2026 – A three-day religious ceremony was held at Gurdwara Babay Di Beri in Sialkot to commemorate the arrival of Baba Guru Nanak. Provincial Minister for Minority Affairs, Ramesh Singh Arora, and Sardar Jaskaran Singh attended the event.
Speaking on the occasion, Ramesh Singh Arora said that Pakistan always promotes the message of peace, love, and tolerance. He added that Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz is resolving minority issues on a priority basis, and the government is providing full facilities to minorities.
He expressed gratitude to the government for liberating holy sites from illegal occupants. He also announced that renovation and restoration work at Gurdwara Baoli Sahib in Sialkot and Gurdwara Fateh Bhander in Daska will begin soon.
The minister noted that Easter will be celebrated on April 5 and Vaisakhi on April 14, adding that minorities in Pakistan celebrate their religious festivals with complete freedom and full government support.
Sardar Jaskaran Singh shared that Baba Guru Nanak had visited Gurdwara Babay Di Beri in 1517, and the festival is held annually on March 21, 22, and 23. Pilgrims from around the world take part in the religious rituals during these days.
