In a commanding and one-sided display, Pakistan Under-19s delivered a masterful performance to defeat India Under-19s by a massive 191 runs in the ACC Under-19 Asia Cup 2025 final, lifting the trophy outright for the first time since 2012 at the ICC Academy Ground in Dubai.
Opting to bowl first after winning the toss, India were put under immense pressure from the outset as Pakistan's batting lineup, led by an extraordinary innings from opener Sameer Minhas, posted a formidable 347 for 8 in their 50 overs.
Minhas, who was later named Player of the Match and Player of the Series, played a breathtaking knock of 172 off 113 balls, laced with 17 fours and 9 sixes. His aggressive strokeplay dominated the Indian bowling attack, marking the highest individual score in a Under-19 Asia Cup final. He received solid support from Ahmed Hussain (56) and Usman Khan (35), helping Pakistan recover from an early wicket and build crucial partnerships that propelled them to a daunting total

Chasing 348, India's innings crumbled early under disciplined Pakistani bowling. Captain Ayush Mhatre fell for just 2, triggering a collapse as wickets tumbled regularly. Opener Vaibhav Suryavanshi offered brief resistance with 26, while lower-order batter Deepesh Devendran provided a late flourish with 36 off 16 balls. However, the Indian side was bowled out for 156 in 26.2 overs, with pacer Ali Raza starring with figures of 4 wickets.
Match Highlights
Player of the Match and Series: Sameer Minhas (172 off 113 balls)
Best Bowling: Ali Raza (4 wickets)
Turning Point: Minhas' blistering century shifted complete control to Pakistan, piling unrelenting pressure on India's chase.
Key Partnerships: Strong middle-order contributions after an early setback set the foundation for Pakistan's massive total.
This victory marks Pakistan's second Under-19 Asia Cup title and their first outright triumph, highlighting the depth in batting firepower and bowling precision within their youth setup. The team showcased remarkable composure and skill to outclass a strong Indian side that had remained unbeaten leading into the final.

Nation Celebrates Historic Triumph
The win has sparked nationwide celebrations, with messages of congratulations pouring in from top leadership.
President Asif Ali Zardari congratulated the Pakistan Under-19 team on their impressive victory, praising their outstanding performance and commending the Pakistan Cricket Board for nurturing young talent.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also extended heartfelt felicitations to the young cricketers and the nation, hailing the team's exceptional display against arch-rivals India as a moment of great pride.                                                                     Other prominent figures, including Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, lauded the team's consistency, hard work, and passion throughout the tournament, while PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi presented the trophy to captain Farhan Yousaf amid jubilant scenes.               This emphatic win not only avenges an earlier group-stage loss to India but signals the emergence of exciting new talent in Pakistan cricket, setting a positive tone ahead of future international assignment.
