Punjabi Cinema Mourns: Comedian-Actor Jaswinder Bhalla Passes Away at 65

Punjabi cinema suffered a deep loss today with the demise of legendary comedian and actor Dr. Jaswinder Bhalla at the age of 65. He breathed his last at Fortis Hospital, Mohali, after a prolonged illness.
Born on May 4, 1960, in Doraha, Ludhiana, Jaswinder Bhalla began his career in comedy with Chhankata 88 and made his acting debut in the film Dulla Bhatti. Over the decades, he entertained millions with memorable performances in Punjabi blockbusters like Carry On Jatta, Jind Jaan, Band Baaje, and Gaddi JandiAe Chhalaanga Maardi.
Bhalla, who was also a professor by profession, was admired for his unique comic timing, wit, and relatable humor. His passing has left fans and the Punjabi film fraternity in grief.
