The federal government of  Pakistan  has delegated additional powers to the Secretary ETPB, Farid Iqbal, to handle administrative matters. The federal government, appreciating his full confidence and performance as the Secretary Board, has entrusted the limited additional charge of the Chairman to handle pending administrative matters. In the year 2022-23, the department’s income was Rs 3420 million. In the year 2023-24, the department's income increased by Rs 4725 million. Overall, the department's income increased by Rs 1305 million in the year 2023-24, while in the first 9 months of the current year 2024-25, the department's income reached Rs 4232 million. According to a cautious estimate, the department's income is expected to increase by Rs 6 thousand million. In order to protect the lands of the Trust Board and increase revenue, the Secretary ETPB conducted an operation against the land mafia under its supervision in Nankana, Karachi, Sahiwal, Pakpattan and other districts and recovered 6367 acres of trust lands worth Rs 43279 million. Through the mobile application, the performance of all district offices was monitored on a daily basis, action was taken against defaulters and the recovery system was improved. Steps were taken to estimate and recover the rent of trust lands at the market rate. The current rent of the department is 993 million, while after the estimate, the rent of the department's properties has become 4547 million. After the implementation of the estimate, the rent of the department will increase by 458 percent. The Secretary Board played an important role in changing the scheme for better utilization of properties and agricultural lands and getting the federal government to change the service rules of employees. He took steps to release funds worth more than 1 thousand million for the protection, renovation, beautification and restoration of temples, gurudwaras and religious minority places of worship managed by the ETPB. The board employees appreciated the federal governments initiatative to delegate the powers of the chairman to the Secretary Board and expressed their full confidence in Secretary Board Farid Iqbal.
