Chandigarh, February 24, Nazarana Times Bureau

The dream of Congress's crown prince and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi has marginalized the Youth Congress and today there has been so much indiscipline at every level in the Youth Congress that the workers, right up to the state office bearers of the Youth Congress, district presidents and constituency presidents, are completely ignoring the party programs and are engaged in flouting discipline.

In Punjab, the weak grip and lax performance of the state Youth Congress president Mohit Mohindra became evident when the state-level program of the All India Youth Congress (A.I.Y.C.) president Uday Bhanu Chib was being held and hundreds of office bearers torpedoed the program of the national president himself.

It is worth mentioning that on February 20, the Punjab Youth Congress organized the first state executive meeting of Uday Bhanu Chib in Chandigarh, but the weak leadership of the state Youth Congress President Mohit Mohindra in Punjab and the almost sunken ship of the Youth Congress, the absence of office bearers in the first executive meeting, exposed the weak leadership.

Seeing the low attendance of office bearers in the first executive meeting of Uday Bhanu Chib, the All India Youth Congress has become very upset. Now, like every time, after the snake comes out in the Youth Congress, the in-charge of Punjab Youth Congress affairs, Rishendra Singh Mahar, has issued show cause notices to the office bearers who were absent from the first executive meeting and directed them to respond within 24 hours. Mahar said in the notice that if any office bearer does not share a valid reason for his absence with us within 24 hours, then action will be taken against him as per the party principles.

The state in-charge had recently issued show cause notices to the presidents of 65 assembly constituencies out of 117 assembly constituencies of Punjab who were absent from the meeting, after which today the All India Youth Congress, taking major action, has issued notices to 5 district presidents, one vice president, 15 state general secretaries and 16 secretaries of the state Youth Congress. These notices also include faces like state general secretary Toshit Mahajan and state youth congress secretary Honey Joshi from the Youth Congress, who have been associated with the Youth Congress for a long time.
