Chairman of the Sikh Sewa Society Pakistan, Sardar Ram Singh, met with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Senator Ishaq Dar, and Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori in Islamabad to discuss the recent Pakistan-India tensions and the vital contributions of minority communities, particularly the Sikh community.
During the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar expressed deep appreciation for the continued solidarity of the Sikh community with Pakistan. “We are grateful to our Sikh brothers and sisters who have always stood with Pakistan in times of need,” he stated.
Commenting on recent regional developments, Dar condemned a missile strike by the Indian government on a Sikh-populated area in Amritsar, labeling it a deliberate attempt to strain the historic ties between the Sikh community and Pakistan. “The Modi administration tried to erode the goodwill between Sikhs and Pakistan, but we have unmasked their true intentions,” he said.
He emphasized that while Pakistan does not seek conflict with India, a firm response to aggression was necessary. “India launched an attack under the cover of darkness, and our armed forces responded decisively,” Dar added.
Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori also praised the Sikh community and other minorities for their continued contributions to Pakistan’s social and cultural fabric. He expressed gratitude for their dedication and unity.
Sardar Ram Singh reaffirmed the deep bond between the Sikh community and Pakistan. “This is the land of Baba Guru Nanak; it is no less than paradise for us. Our lives and destinies are inseparably tied to this soil,” he said.
He thanked the Government of Pakistan for its efforts to provide facilities and religious freedom to Sikh pilgrims. “On behalf of the global Sikh community, we express our heartfelt gratitude to President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, and Governor Kamran Tessori for their consistent commitment to protecting and honoring our sacred sites.”
Sardar Ram Singh also acknowledged the leadership and support of Field Marshal General Asim Munir and the Pakistan Armed Forces.
