In a significant gesture of military diplomacy, President Asif Ali Zardari conferred the Nishan-e-Pakistan (Military) on Vice Admiral Mohammed Bin Abdulrahman Al Ghoraibi, Chief of the Royal Saudi Naval Forces, during a special investiture ceremony held at Aiwan-e-Sadr on Monday.

The award recognized Vice Admiral Al Ghoraibi’s outstanding contributions to fostering robust ties between the Pakistan Navy and Royal Saudi Naval Forces (RSNF). The ceremony was attended by senior officers of the Pakistan Armed Forces.

After the formal investiture, President Zardari met the Saudi Naval Chief in a courtesy call, accompanied by Ambassador Nawaf Saeed Al-Malkiy. During the meeting, the President congratulated the Vice Admiral and lauded the growing cooperation between the two naval forces.

President Zardari expressed satisfaction with the RSNF’s participation in joint maritime initiatives such as Exercise AMAN-25 and AMAN Dialogue-25, held earlier in February 2025. He emphasized that such collaborations enhance regional maritime security, cooperation, and mutual understanding.

Highlighting the depth of Pak-Saudi relations, the President acknowledged Saudi Arabia’s steadfast support to Pakistan in challenging times. He also praised the transformative vision of Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman, calling it a guiding force for the Kingdom’s long-term prosperity.

Zardari noted the RSNF’s trust in Pakistan’s naval training systems and called for further expansion of training and operational cooperation. He also requested the Vice Admiral to convey his warm greetings to His Majesty King Salman bin Abdulaziz and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman, reiterating Pakistan’s strong brotherly ties with the Kingdom.
