New Sikh Organization “Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Sewa Sambhal” Formed in Italy to Address Religious & Social Issues

A major Panthic gathering took place at Gurdwara Sahib Dhan Dhan Shaheed Baba Deep Singh Ji in Carmona, Italy, bringing together Sikh Gurdwara committees, organizations, and intellectuals from across the country. The meeting focused on religious and social challenges faced by Sikhs in Italy and ways to resolve them.

During this gathering, the “Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Sewa Sambhal” (Damdami Taksal) Italy organization was officially formed. The primary mission of this organization will be to uphold the sanctity of Guru Granth Sahib Ji, resolve Gurdwara management conflicts, and counter misinformation spread on social media regarding Gurdwaras.

Key Objectives of the Organization:

Protect the respect and Maryada of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji

Resolve administrative issues in Gurdwaras across Italy

Prevent the placement of Guru Granth Sahib Ji’s Saroop near seashores during Anand Karaj ceremonies

Address the rising cases of suicide among Sikh youth in Italy and provide support

Establish contact points across all states and districts of Italy so that any Sikh in need can reach out to the organization for help

The formation of this organization was attended by many prominent Sikh leaders from Italy, including Surjit Singh Khandeval, Rajinder Singh Rummy, Pragat Singh Carmona, Pratap Singh Alsadaria, Bikramjit Singh Brescia, Gurkirat Singh Kahlo, Nachhatar Singh Castiglione, Baljit Singh Mand, Bhagwant Singh Kang, Darbara Singh Bergamo, Jasvir Singh Navlara, Jatinder Singh Bagga, Iqbal Singh Pala,Palwinder Singh,Suchet Singh,Karamjit Singh,Baljinder Singh Dhillon,Rajwinder Singh Kang ,Harpal Singh Vogera,Jaswant Singh Hothi,Satpal Singh Goldy,Jagga Piscenza and many others.

This newly formed "Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Sewa Sambhal" organization will actively work towards preserving Sikh Maryada, improving Gurdwara management, and addressing social issues affecting Sikh youth in Italy. In the coming days, representatives will be appointed in each Italian state and district to provide local support.
