There is no proposal to waive electricity bills in government schools in Punjab. This information was given by Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO on a question asked by an MLA.
AAP MLA Harmeet Pathanmajra was asked during the Vidhan Sabha session today whether the government has any such proposal, through which the electricity bills of government schools can be waived?
Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO replied to this question and said that the government has no proposal to waive the electricity bills of government schools.
After the minister's reply, MLA Pathanmajra said that all our children study in private schools and only the children of the poor study in government schools.
Our children will study here and go abroad and the children of the poor will stay here and they will get jobs here.
So if the electricity bills of homes and other institutions can be waived, then what loss will there be by waiving the electricity bills of schools?
However, after the question and answer session between Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO and MLA Harmeet Pathanmajra, Minister Aman Arora also responded on this issue.
Minister Aman Arora said that the work of installing solar plots in government schools is going on. With this, there will be no shortage of electricity in schools.
