Ramesh Singh Arora Distributes Holi Grants in Ahmadpur East

Over 250 Hindu Families Receive Support Under CM Punjab’s Directive

Punjab Minister for Minority Affairs, Ramesh Singh Arora, visited Ahmadpur East in Bahawalpur District, where he distributed PKR 15,000 Holi grants to over 250 Hindu families from areas including Yazman, Khairpur Tamewali, and Hasilpur.

The event, held at Jinnah Library, was part of a special initiative by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif to support minorities during religious festivals. Addressing the gathering, Arora said the Punjab government is committed to protecting the rights of the Hindu community through temple renovation, educational scholarships, ID card facilitation, and youth training programs.

He also noted the significant increase in the Minority Welfare Fund and the inclusion of new schemes in the provincial budget. The event ended with vibrant Holi celebrations, attended by AC Ahmadpur East Naveed Haider, community leaders, and social figures.
