Ludhiana Hosts Joint Discussion Forum of Sikh Missionary Colleges, Scholars Share Insights on Gurmat

On 28th February 2025, “Gurmat Gyaan Missionary College” organized a joint discussion forum at Baba Gurmukh Singh Hall, Ramgarhia Girls College, Miller Ganj, Ludhiana. This event was jointly organized by “Sikh Missionary College, Ludhiana,” “Gurmat Gyaan Missionary College, Ludhiana,” and “Sahibzada Jujhar Singh Gurmat Missionary College, Ropar.”
The program began with Rana Inderjeet Singh warmly welcoming the missionary brothers and sisters with a “Ji Aayian Nu,” while the stage was managed by Sukhwinder Singh Dadeher.
Sikh Rehat Maryada – The Key to Panthic Unity
Dr. Gurmel Singh from “Shaheed Sikh Missionary College, Amritsar” delivered a lecture on the topic “Guardianship of Sikh Rehat Maryada at Historical Gurudwaras.” He emphasized that Sikh Rehat Maryada is the key to Panthic unity and that Gurudwaras serve as central institutions for Sikhs.
Service – The Cornerstone of Sikhism
Bhai Nachhattar Singh from “Sikh Missionary College, Ludhiana” shared his thoughts on the “Vastness of the Concept of Service in Gurbani and History.” He highlighted the importance of service as a core component of Sikhism.
Denouncement of Rituals in Bhagat Bani
Principal Baljeet Singh from “Sahibzada Jujhar Singh Gurmat Missionary College, Ropar” delivered a lecture on the topic “Denouncement of Rituals in Bhagat Bani and Strengthening of Gurmat.” He explained that the Bhaktas awakened the masses and opposed Brahmanism and caste-based practices.
Role of Missionary Colleges in Gurmat Promotion
Principal Gurbachan Singh from “Gurmat Gyaan Missionary College” presented a lecture on “The Role of Missionary Colleges in Gurmat Promotion.” He shed light on the sacrifices made by Sikh missionaries to liberate Gurudwaras and end idol worship.
Responsibility of Sikh Missionaries –
Sarabjeet Singh Dhunda Finally, Sarabjeet Singh Dhunda explained the importance of Gurmat promotion, stating that Guru Sahib entrusted the responsibility of correctly promoting Gurmat to “Sikh Missionaries.”
Scholars’ Attendance and Gratitude Ceremony
Missionary brothers, sisters, and scholars from both India and abroad participated in this joint discussion forum. At the end, the Chairman of Gurmat Gyaan Missionary College, Rana Inderjeet Singh, welcomed the Sangat with “Ji Aayian Nu” and expressed gratitude.
