Book Launch Ceremony Held at Kinnaird College; Provincial Minister Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora Emphasizes Interfaith Harmony and Tolerance

The Department of English at Kinnaird College for Women organized a dignified book launch ceremony for “Building Bridges Beyond Borders: The Brilliance of Pakistan,” attended by prominent personalities from academic, literary, and social circles.
Provincial Minister for Minorities Affairs Punjab, Ramesh Singh Arora, graced the occasion as the chief guest. Addressing the audience, he stated that Pakistan represents a beautiful blend of diverse religions, cultures, and languages, and that this diversity remains the nation’s greatest strength. He remarked that literature and constructive dialogue are effective means of bridging gaps between communities and fostering mutual understanding.


The Minister emphasized that such academic and literary initiatives play a vital role in promoting interfaith harmony, tolerance, coexistence, and mutual respect, while projecting Pakistan’s positive and progressive image across the world. Appreciating the authors’ efforts, he noted that the book highlights Pakistan’s human values, talent, resilience, and shared humanity in an inspiring manner.
He further added that under the leadership of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz, the Government of Punjab is taking practical measures to safeguard the rights of minorities and strengthen social cohesion, and that such platforms help reinforce unity, peace, and brotherhood within society.
The ceremony was attended by Prof. Dr. Irum Anjum, Christophe de Contenson, Abdul Karim, Dr. Waseem, Ms. Satwant Kaur, Dr. Anum Hayat, Ms. Mary James Gill, Bishop Emeritus Dr. Alexander John Malik, along with faculty members and students.
The event concluded with participants terming the book a significant contribution towards promoting intercultural dialogue and presenting a positive image of Pakistan.
