Punjab is all set to witness its first-ever Horse Riding Festival, organized by the district administration in collaboration with the Department of Tourism and Cultural Affairs, Punjab. The festival will take place on March 1st and 2nd, 2025, at The Ranch, Forest Hill Resort, Village Karora, SAS Nagar. This historic event has generated immense excitement among the people of Punjab as it marks the first large-scale celebration of horse riding in the state.

  • Over 250 horses, including Marwari, Nukkra, and other native breeds.
  • Events like Tent Pegging, Horse Jumping, and Ring Competitions.
  • Special performances by NCC teams.
  • Live music performances by popular Punjabi singers Meet Kaur (Day 1) and Dilpreet Dhillon (Day 2).
  • Horse exhibitions and a unique Horse Fashion Show.

Preparations Are Complete:

During a review meeting of the ongoing preparations, District Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal emphasized that this festival is set to be a historic event. She shared that the Animal Husbandry Department, Sports Department, Police, Tourism Department, and other relevant authorities have devised detailed plans to ensure the event's success.

Day 1 (March 1st):

  • Events like Team Lance Tent Pegging, Six Bar Jumping, Fashion Show.
  • Dressage Preliminary on horseback.
  • Live Performance by Punjabi Singer Meet Kaur.

Day 2 (March 2nd):

  • Individual Lance Tent Pegging, Show Jumping, Pole Bending Race.
  • Medley Relay, Medal Ceremony, and Horse Exhibition.
  • Musical Evening by Punjabi Singer Dilpreet Dhillon.
