Tarn Taran: Gas Agency’s High-Handedness, People Struggling for Gas Cylinders

Tarn Taran/Sarhali Kalan, February 25  (Jagraj Singh Sarhali) –

 At a time when inflation is already making life difficult for the common man, negligence and high-handedness by officials are further adding to their woes. A recent case has emerged from Vikram Bharat Gas Agency, Sarhali Kalan, where people are facing immense difficulties in obtaining domestic gas cylinders.

According to local residents, the gas booking number has been out of service for a long time, forcing them to visit the agency in person. However, when they reach the agency, officials lock themselves inside their cabins and refuse to assist customers, leaving them helpless. To make matters worse, even a sanitation worker misbehaved with the customers, adding to their frustration.

Victims Speak Out

Several affected individuals, including Satinder Kaur, Parminder Kaur, Baljit Kaur, and Veer Kaur, shared their grievances with Nazrana Times, stating, "We have been waiting for hours, but no one is listening to us. When we asked for assistance, officials misbehaved. We don’t understand if this agency is meant to serve the public or to display the arrogance of its officials."

Residents are now demanding that authorities take strict action against the gas agency officials and ensure that people receive their booked gas cylinders without any unnecessary trouble.
