The chairman of the Sikh Sewa Society Pakistan, Sardar Ram Singh, has urged the global Sikh community to visit Pakistan, saying the country remains a safe and welcoming place for religious minorities despite recent tensions with India.
Speaking in response to the escalating diplomatic strain between Islamabad and New Delhi, Singh described Pakistan as a “peaceful nation” where minority communities live in harmony and practice their faith freely.
“Pakistan has always opened its religious sites to people of all faiths from around the world,” Singh said in a statement. “The Kartarpur Corridor stands as a clear example—open to Sikhs globally without discrimination.”
He dismissed Indian media narratives that portray Pakistan as unsafe for minorities, calling them “false and baseless propaganda.”
Singh praised Pakistan’s efforts to protect minority religious sites, including those sacred to the Sikh faith. He said the government has provided visa-free access and on-arrival visa options for Sikh pilgrims visiting key sites such as Nankana Sahib, the birthplace of Guru Nanak, and the Kartarpur Gurdwara.
“Pakistan is nothing short of a paradise for Sikhs,” Singh said, extending an invitation to Sikhs worldwide. “You will be warmly welcomed by the Pakistani people.”
