End of an Era: Teefi Butt’s Reign in Lahore’s Underworld Comes to a Close

The Chapter of a Major Figure in Lahore's Underworld, Teefi Butt, Closes Today

Khwaja Ta'rif Gulshan, alias Teefi Butt, was a man who ruled over Lahore's underworld for decades, and he was known as the shrewdest don—an expert at immediately taking precautionary measures upon sensing the slightest whiff of danger.
After being named in the murder case of Amir Balaj, Teefi Butt fled to the UAE, where he had been in hiding for three years.

Reports suggest that the police had gone there in search of another criminal, but by sheer coincidence, Teefi Butt fell right into their hands. And just like that, the news of Teefi Butt's sudden arrest broke. The rest of the story is, as they say, traditional.
The reason Teefi Butt was able to maintain his formidable position in the criminal world for so long was his cunning strategy and his deep understanding of Pakistan's system. He was a master at securing support for himself during every regime—he spent money lavishly, provided muscle when needed. In simple terms, Teefi Butt never failed to obtain patronage in any era.
The one glaring mistake Teefi Butt made over all those years was the murder of Ameer Balaj Tipu at a time when reconciliation had already been brokered between the two rival groups, with powerful personalities acting as guarantors. However, it's6 said that Teefi Butt paid no heed to those guarantors; after eliminating the man behind Tipu Truckanwala, he also had his son, Amir Balaj, taken out by a shooter.
This marked the beginning of Teefi Butt's complete downfall, which culminated in his end today—none of his influence or connections could save him.
The world of crime certainly elevates someone to the heights for a while, but the end is usually the same, as it was for Teefi Butt today. Despite his extremely shrewd and cautious strategies, he couldn't save himself in the end.
For young people inspired by crime, there's a lot to learn from this story.
