ETPB Members' Tenure Ends, Farewell Meeting Held

A dignified farewell meeting was held as the tenure of the members of the Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) came to an end. The meeting was chaired by Senior Board Member Brigadier (R) Akhtar Nawaz Janjua, while the Federal Secretary for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Dr. Atta-ur-Rehman, addressed the session via video link.
Dr. Attaur Rehman praised the board’s services, particularly the effective management of valuable properties and agricultural lands, restructuring of schemes, and reforms in employee service rules. He commended the board not only for safeguarding national heritage with integrity but also for contributing positively to the country's development.
Secretary ETPB Fareed Iqbal also paid tribute to the board members and acknowledged their experience as a milestone for future policy-making. Board members including Rizwana Naveed, Dr. Jaweria Ghaznfar, Rana Mujeeb Afzal Khan, Sohail Ahmad Raza, Kripa Singh, Dr. Hari Lal Bhagya, Krishan Lal, Sardar Partab Singh, Mishal Kaur, Peerzada Tayyab Amin, and Sardar Bhagat Singh, along with Chief Controller of Accounts Adeel Ahmed, Staff Officer Zafar Iqbal, Additional Secretary Admin Sanaullah Khan, and other officials participated in the meeting.
In his remarks, Board Member Akhtar Nawaz Janjua emphasized the board's consistent efforts to maintain transparency, performance, and public trust. Other board members highlighted mutual respect and teamwork as key factors in the board’s success.
The board appreciated the services of Secretary ETPB Fareed Iqbal for increasing department revenue, protecting trust properties, and contributing significantly to recoveries. The efforts of Deputy Secretary Admin and Board Meeting Incharge Shahid Bashir and his team were also acknowledged. Members noted that under his leadership, board meetings were conducted in an organized and disciplined manner, and professional services were rendered in policy-making, file work, and coordination.
During the meeting, the proceedings of the previous 357th session were also approved. The tenure of ETPB board members spans three years, after which a new board is constituted with the approval of the Government of Pakistan.
