There is news of a 22-year-old youth dying under suspicious circumstances in village Dhaliwal Bet of Kapurthala. The victim’s family has made serious allegations of calling a friend from home and murdering him. Along with this, Dhilwan police station has registered a case against the friend on the statements of the deceased’s father and started investigation. Confirming this, S. H. O. Manjit Singh said that the body has been kept in the morgue of Civil Hospital Kapurthala for postmortem. The postmortem will be conducted by a board of doctors on Monday.

S. H. O. Manjit Singh also said that the deceased youth has been identified as 22-year-old Jaskaran Singh, son of Balbir Singh, resident of village Dhaliwal Bet. The search for the accused youth is on. S. H. O. of Dhilwan police station Manjit Singh said that Balbir Singh son of Jaskaran Singh, resident of village Dhaliwal Bet, was called from his house at around 4 pm on Saturday evening by his friend Yodha Singh and then at around 6 pm he called Jaskaran's family and told them that while eating burger, something got stuck in Jaskaran's throat, which he is taking to Beas Hospital.

When he was taken to Beas Hospital, the doctor on duty declared him dead. After this, the accused friend Yodha Singh fled from the spot. S. H. O. Manjit Singh said that when the family members of the deceased Jaskaran Singh reached the hospital, his friend had already fled from there and the body of Jaskaran Singh was lying in the hospital. The police have taken possession of the body of the deceased and kept it in the morgue of the Civil Hospital Kapurthala for postmortem. On the other hand, based on the statements of the deceased's father Balbir Singh, a case has been registered against the accused Yodha Singh, son of Pargat Singh, resident of village Bijli Nangal, district Kapurthala and an investigation has been started.
