Gillani, Naqvi, and Malik Praise Armed Forces at Seminar on Pakistan’s Victory

A high-profile seminar titled “The Global Impact of Pakistan’s Military and Diplomatic Victories Over India” was held at Aiwan-e-Iqbal, Lahore, under the auspices of the Professor Waris Mir Foundation. The event brought together senior political leaders, journalists, and civil society figures to reflect on Pakistan’s recent military and diplomatic successes against Indian aggression.The seminar was presided over by Senate Chairman Yousaf Raza Gillani, with Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi as the chief guest and Punjab Assembly Speaker Malik Ahmad Khan as guest of honor. Foundation Secretary Faisal Mir moderated the session, which was attended by prominent political and social leaders, alongside veteran journalist Shahnawaz Rana, who presented a paper on Professor Waris Mir.

“Victory of All Institutions” – Gillani

Senate Chairman Yousaf Raza Gillani hailed Pakistan’s collective achievement, crediting all national institutions for their role in defeating Indian designs. He described Waris Mir as a democratic revolutionary and emphasized dialogue as the path forward for political leadership. “Our political and military leadership stood shoulder to shoulder in giving India a befitting response. At this moment, I salute our armed forces and leadership,” Gillani said.

“60 Missiles Prevented” – Naqvi

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi revealed that Pakistan successfully thwarted 60 Indian missile attacks on its airbases through advance intelligence and coordinated defense measures. “Not a single missile hit our bases. Pakistan’s strategy deliberately avoided civilian casualties while India’s largest oil depot was destroyed. Several potential targets were spared intentionally. All of this was only possible with the help of Allah Almighty,” Naqvi declared.

“General Asim Munir Proved His Mettle” – Malik Ahmad Khan

Punjab Assembly Speaker Malik Ahmad Khan praised the seminar for initiating timely dialogue, stressing Pakistan’s sacrifices in the war on terrorism. He said the country had provided undeniable evidence of India’s terrorism to the world, compelling international recognition. “During Indian aggression, our civil and military leadership adopted the best possible strategy. In this situation, Field Marshal General Asim Munir proved his mettle, and today the entire nation stands with him,” he noted.

National Resolve for Sovereignty and Kashmir

Concluding the session, Faisal Mir stated that no nation could be defeated if its supreme commander was fearless and its leadership united. The seminar ended with a collective pledge to safeguard Pakistan’s sovereignty and to continue supporting the Kashmir cause at every global forum.
