Pakistan Firmly Rejects Indian Minister’s Baseless Allegations, Highlights India’s Record of Terrorism
ISLAMABAD (Nazrana Times)
The Government of Pakistan has issued a strong and categorical rejection of the recent irresponsible remarks made by Indian External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, who attempted to label Pakistan as a "bad neighbour." These unfounded allegations represent a transparent effort by India to divert international attention from its own well-documented actions as a state sponsor of terrorism and a persistent source of regional instability.
Minister Jaishankar’s narrative, which seeks to cast Pakistan as the instigator of terrorism, is not only false but is a deliberate inversion of reality. Pakistan has been a primary victim of terrorism for decades, much of it orchestrated, financed, and supported from across our eastern border. The international community is well aware that India’s interference in Pakistan, including its support for terrorist elements, is an open secret.
The Kulbhushan Jadhav Case: Irrefutable Evidence of Indian Terrorism
Pakistan’s position is substantiated by hard evidence, most notably the case of Kulbhushan Jadhav. This serving commander of the Indian Navy was apprehended on Pakistani soil in 2016 after illegally entering the country. His subsequent confession and the evidence presented provided a stark and undeniable example of organized, state-sponsored terrorism directed against Pakistan. India’s attempts to obscure this fact through legal technicalities at the International Court of Justice do not erase the gravity of this act of espionage and terror.
India’s Destructive Agenda in the Region
Pakistan’s Foreign Office has consistently highlighted a pattern of Indian aggression that extends beyond our bilateral relationship. This includes:
· Sponsorship of Terrorism: Beyond Kulbhushan Jadhav, India stands accused of engaging in extraterritorial killings, sabotage through proxy networks, and providing covert support to terrorist groups operating within Pakistan.
· Illegal Occupation in Kashmir: India’s brutal and illegal military occupation of Jammu and Kashmir continues in flagrant violation of United Nations Security Council resolutions. The Kashmiri people’s legitimate struggle for their right to self-determination is met with state violence and communications blackouts. Pakistan remains unwavering in its political, moral, and diplomatic support for the just cause of our Kashmiri brothers and sisters.
· Threats to Vital Water Security: India’s threatening posture regarding the Indus Waters Treaty is a grave concern. This treaty, brokered by the World Bank, is a binding international agreement. Any unilateral attempt by India to violate this pact would be a severe threat to regional peace, stability, and a blatant disregard for international law. Pakistan will take all necessary measures to protect its vital water rights, which are essential for the livelihoods of millions.
A Pattern of Hindutva-Driven Belligerence
Pakistan’s firm response is necessitated by India’s continued belligerence, which is rooted in the extremist Hindutva ideology of its ruling regime. This ideology promotes regional hegemony, the suppression of minorities, and the use of terrorism as a state tool. Pakistan, a responsible state, will continue to defend its sovereignty, expose India’s destabilizing actions, and advocate for a peaceful resolution of all disputes, including the core issue of Jammu and Kashmir, in accordance with international law and UN resolutions.
