Wang Yi Meets COAS Asim Munir; Vows Support for Pakistan’s Sovereignty

Chinese Foreign Minister H.E. Mr. Wang Yi, during his official visit to Pakistan, held an important meeting with Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, in Islamabad on Friday.

The meeting centered on regional security, counter-terrorism, and issues of mutual interest. Both sides reaffirmed their resolve to further consolidate the all-weather strategic partnership and to enhance coordination at regional and international platforms.

Foreign Minister Wang Yi reiterated China’s steadfast support for Pakistan’s sovereignty and development, while the COAS expressed deep gratitude for Beijing’s consistent backing.

The talks concluded with a shared commitment to advancing peace, stability, and prosperity in the region, underscoring the strong ties between the two nations.
