Jati Umra Hosts Private Nikah of CM Punjab’s Daughter

LAHORE (Nazrana Times): Mahnoor Safdar, the youngest daughter of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, solemnised her nikah with Azan Jabbar on Saturday in a private family ceremony at the Sharif family residence in Jati Umra.
Azan Jabbar is the son of businessman and industrialist Jabbar Khalid, who is associated with Pakistan’s flour-milling industry. The ceremony was kept private, with media reports suggesting around 100 close relatives and selected guests attended.
Prominent family members and political figures present included PML-N President Nawaz Sharif, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Hassan Nawaz, Hussain Nawaz and Punjab Senior Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb. Mahnoor’s father, Captain (retd.) Muhammad Safdar, also joined the family celebrations.

The nikah took place shortly after Mahnoor completed her graduation in Anthropology from SOAS University of London.

No official announcement has yet been made regarding a larger reception or further wedding celebrations.
