Restoration of 50 Historic Gurdwaras Across Punjab Progressing Steadily: Ramesh Singh Arora
Lahore, 16, July 2026: The Provincial Minister for Minority Affairs, Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora, visited the Gurdwara Sahib in Griffith, Australia, where he was accorded a warm and enthusiastic welcome by the local Sikh community. As a gesture of deep respect, the Gurdwara management presented the Provincial Minister with the traditional Siropa.
During his visit, Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora addressed the local Sangat, emphasizing the critical need to promote interfaith harmony, mutual tolerance, and peaceful coexistence globally. Highlighting the active initiatives of the Punjab government, the Provincial Minister stated.
Under the vision of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the restoration and preservation of 50 historic Gurdwaras across the province are currently underway.
He extended a warm invitation to the global Sikh diaspora to visit Pakistan, their ancestral homeland, and pay respects at their sacred religious sites.
Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora further reiterated that Pakistan is taking practical and concrete steps to preserve Sikh heritage and boost religious tourism. He assured that the Punjab government remains fully committed to protecting the holy sites of all religions and safeguarding the rights of minorities.
