Iran Prefers Pakistan as Venue for Talks, Cites Strong Trust in Islamabad

Iran’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Reza Amiri Moghadam, said that Iran wants Islamabad to host the talks, citing strong trust in Pakistan’s role as a mediator.
Speaking at an event at the Institute of Regional Studies in Islamabad, he stated that negotiations would take place in Pakistan “and nowhere else,” while also expressing a lack of trust in the United States.
He also praised Pakistan’s leadership, calling the mediation efforts of the Prime Minister and the Army Chief “commendable,” and highlighting Islamabad’s growing diplomatic role in facilitating dialogue between the two sides.
