Naveed Kamran Baloch Takes Over as Wafaqi Mohtasib

Urges Officers and Staff to Continue Working with Utmost Devotion and Dedication

Mr. Naveed Kamran Baloch, who took over as the 9th regular Wafaqi Mohtasib (Federal Ombudsman) Pakistan a couple days before, has urged the Officers and Staff members of his organization to redouble their efforts for speedy resolution of public complaints relating to maladministration. 
He was addressing the Officers and Staff members of the Wafaqi Mohtasib (Federal Ombudsman) Secretariat for the first time after taking charge of his Office here today. The Officers and Staff members of the Regional Offices also joined online.
Mr. Baloch termed the Wafaqi Mohtasib Office as a model national Institution, rendering very useful service to the people. ‘It is imperative that all members must continue working with the same devotion and dedication which is its hallmark so that it can retain the trust and confidence of the general public’, he added. 
He further observed that Allah Almighty has bestowed on him this position and honour during the holy month of Ramadan. He would make every effort to justify this selection. He expressed the resolve to take the organization from strength to strength by virtue of professionalism, devotion and dedication. He urged the staff members to give special attention to the quality of output saying that mere increase in number of complaints dealt with is not enough, quality must also be maintained. 
He went on to add that every effort should be made to improve the service delivery especially in the remote and far off places. ‘Dispensation of administrative justice at the door steps of the people holds a high priority’, he said. He also paid glowing tributes to the outgoing Mohtasib, Mr. Ejaz Ahmad Qureshi, who completed his 04-year term a couple of months ago, saying that he sat up lofty standards of public service. 
Earlier, he attended various briefings and presentations on the working of different sections and branches of the Wafaqi Mohtasib Secretariat. It may be mentioned that Mr. Naveed Kamran Baloch took oath of the Wafaqi Mohtasib Office on 04th March 2026. 
He belongs to the Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS) and has earlier served as Federal Secretary Finance, Secretary Cabinet Division besides the Chief Secretary KP Province. He holds a Master’s Degree in Social Policy and Planning from the Prestigious London School of Economics. He has a very rich experience of handling administrative matters and also served as the Executive Director, World Bank.
