Baltej Pannu should stop making false allegations against the SGPC President: SGPC Chief Secretary Mannan

The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) Chief Secretary Kulwant Singh Mannan has taken strong note of the baseless remarks being made by leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party in connection with the matter of 328 sacred saroops, and has warned him to stop such actions.
In a statement issued here, Kulwant Singh Mannan said that recently AAP leader Baltej Pannu has levelled false allegations against the head of a Sikh institution, which cannot be tolerated. He said that Baltej Pannu’s claim that a diary related to the 328 sacred saroops is in the possession of the SGPC President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami is an outright lie and a deliberate attempt to mislead the Sikh sangat.
Kulwant Singh Mannan categorically stated that if Baltej Pannu has any proof that such a diary exists with the SGPC President, he should make it public; otherwise, he must apologise.
He further said that there is a well-defined administrative procedure for providing the sacred saroops of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji to the sangat, and there is no provision for maintaining any such diary in this process. Therefore, misleading the sangat in this manner is nothing but political manoeuvring.
He said that Baltej Pannu should remain within his limits and refrain from making fabricated statements against Sikh institutions merely to please his political masters. He warned that if Baltej Pannu continues to level false allegations against the SGPC President or any other office-bearer in the future, he will not be spared.
