PM Shehbaz Hosts High-Level Meetings to De-escalate Regional Tensions
Pakistan Hosts Diplomatic Marathon as Saudi, Turkish, Egyptian FMs Arrive for Crisis Talks

In a significant diplomatic development, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif held a series of high-level meetings with top diplomats from Saudi Arabia, Türkiye, and Egypt in Islamabad this evening, as Pakistan intensifies its mediation efforts to defuse the escalating regional crisis.
Saudi Foreign Minister Calls on PM
His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan, Foreign Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, called on Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif at the Prime Minister's House. The Prime Minister was assisted by Deputy Prime Minister & Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, National Security Advisor Lt. Gen. Muhammad Asim Malik, and SAPM Tariq Fatemi.
During the warm and cordial meeting, the Prime Minister conveyed his respectful regards for The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and warm greetings for Crown Prince & Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman.
Reaffirming Pakistan's full and unwavering solidarity with the Kingdom, the Prime Minister appreciated the remarkable restraint exercised by Saudi Arabia amid the current crisis and assured that Pakistan would always stand shoulder to shoulder with the Kingdom.
Recalling his recent conversations with the Crown Prince, including their meeting in Jeddah on March 12, the Prime Minister shared Pakistan's extensive diplomatic outreach during the crisis, including mediation efforts to bring both the US and Iran to the negotiating table.
Emphasizing the Kingdom's leadership role in the Muslim Ummah, the Prime Minister stressed the need to forge unity among Islamic countries at this critical time.
The Saudi Foreign Minister thanked the Prime Minister and shared the latest Saudi perspective on the regional situation. Both nations agreed to continue coordinating their positions closely to secure peace and stability.
Trilateral Meeting with Turkish, Egyptian Counterparts
Separately, Foreign Minister of Türkiye Hakan Fidan and Foreign Minister of Egypt Dr. Badr Abdelatty arrived at the Prime Minister's House for a meeting with the Prime Minister. SAPM Tariq Fatemi received the visiting dignitaries upon arrival.
Deputy Prime Minister & Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and National Security Advisor Lt. Gen. Asim Malik also attended the trilateral meeting.
The simultaneous presence of three key regional powers in Islamabad underscores Pakistan's growing diplomatic role in addressing the ongoing Middle East crisis, with all parties agreeing on the urgency of de-escalation and Muslim unity.
