Funeral of Major Adnan Aslam Shaheed Held in Rawalpindi with Full Military Honours

Funeral prayers of Major Adnan Aslam Shaheed (31), a brave officer of the Pakistan Army, were offered today at Chaklala Garrison, Rawalpindi with full military honours.

Major Adnan embraced martyrdom while undergoing treatment at the Combined Military Hospital after sustaining critical injuries during a cowardly Indian proxy attack by Fitna al Khawarij in Bannu on 2 September 2025.

The funeral was attended by the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, Defence Minister, Information Minister, COAS Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, senior military and civil officers, and family members of the Shaheed.

Paying tribute to the fallen hero, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said:

“Today, we have lost a valiant son of the soil whose courage and sacrifice will forever remain etched in our nation’s heart. Major Adnan Aslam represents the best of Pakistan — unwavering resolve, deep love for the homeland, and an unbreakable spirit of sacrifice.”

The Pakistan Army reaffirmed its commitment to eradicating terrorism in all its forms, stating that Major Adnan’s martyrdom symbolizes the nation’s resilience and determination to defeat all threats.

The officer will be laid to rest in his hometown with full military honours, as the entire nation salutes his bravery and dedication to Pakistan.
