NAB Chairman Distributes PKR 186 Million Among Victims of Suzuki Sialkot Motors Case

Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Lieutenant General (Retd.) Nazir Ahmed, visited NAB Lahore and presided over a special ceremony to distribute cheques among the victims of public fraud in the Suzuki Sialkot Motors case. Under the supervision of DG NAB Lahore, Mirza Farhan Baig, an amount of PKR 186.188 million was distributed among 136 eligible claimants.
The amount distributed among the victims was recovered through a plea bargain, reflecting NAB's effective accountability system for the recovery of looted public money. 50% of the total recovered amount has been distributed among the victims at this stage, while the remaining 50% will be distributed in the coming days after the completion of legal and administrative requirements.
Addressing the ceremony, the Honorable Chairman NAB reiterated NAB's firm commitment to providing timely justice to the victims and the transparent return of funds. He directed the concerned officers to expedite the recovery and distribution process of the remaining amounts in all cases of public fraud so that relief could be provided to the victims as soon as possible.
Chairman NAB also called for comprehensive progress reports on ongoing investigations and directed special attention to identifying the problems faced by the victims. He expressed his determination that NAB will continue its efforts without interruption to ensure the provision of justice, transparency, and the protection of public trust.
In line with the vision of Chairman NAB, DG NAB Lahore, Mirza Farhan Baig, highlighted the performance of NAB Lahore, stating that during the year 2025, the Bureau received over 6000 complaints, of which 98% have been resolved. Furthermore, funds have so far been distributed among more than 21,000 victims in fraud cases, which is clear evidence of NAB Lahore's effective performance.
Reiterating NAB's zero-tolerance policy against elements involved in cheating the public, DG NAB Lahore said that NAB Lahore prioritizes transparency, prompt justice, and public convenience above all. Participants in the ceremony appreciated the effective and timely measures taken by NAB Lahore under the leadership of Chairman NAB.
