conducted 52 successful operations over the past two weeks, foiling the trafficking of over 678 kilograms of narcotics and arresting 56 suspects.

According to the Director General of the Punjab Counter Narcotics Force, the recovered narcotics include 514 kilograms of hashish, 120 kilograms of opium, 20.5 kilograms of crystal meth (ice), 24 kilograms of cannabis, 138 grams of heroin, and 1,220 litres of liquor. In addition, 10 pistols were also recovered from the possession of the accused during these operations.

He stated that the Punjab Counter Narcotics Force is not only taking robust action against drug trafficking but is also confiscating illegal weapons and liquor during these operations to ensure public safety and maintain law and order across the province.

He further informed that since becoming operational on August 22, 2025, the Punjab Counter Narcotics Force has so far recovered narcotics worth Rs. 2.556 billion, totaling 22.8 tonnes, which reflects the force’s effective operational strategy and vigorous enforcement actions against drug trafficking.

The Director General Punjab Counter Narcotics Force reiterated that indiscriminate operations against drug traffickers, smugglers, and other criminal elements will continue with the same determination and intensity, and all available resources will be utilized to protect the younger generation from the menace of narcotics.
