Pakistan’s Largest Construction Industry Exhibition “Build Pakistan” Kicks Off in Lahore

Federal Minister for Housing & Works Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada and Punjab Minister for Law Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan jointly inaugurated the exhibition

Pakistan’s largest construction industry exhibition and conference, “Build Pakistan: Let’s Build Together,” commenced today at the Expo Centre Lahore with great enthusiasm. The three-day event is being organized by Fact Exhibitions (Pvt.) Ltd. in collaboration with the Ministry of Housing & Works. The inauguration ceremony was jointly performed by Federal Minister for Housing & Works Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada and Punjab Minister for Law Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan. The ministers formally inaugurated the exhibition by cutting the ribbon and later visited various stalls along with Fact Exhibitions CEO Saleem Khan Tanoli, showing keen interest in innovative designs, smart city models, and modern construction machinery.
More than 100 national and international companies are participating in the exhibition, showcasing cutting-edge technologies, services, and sustainable construction solutions in the fields of housing, infrastructure, and urban development. The primary objective of the event is to promote investment, innovation, and sustainable growth through the construction sector, strengthening the national economy and generating new development opportunities.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Federal Minister for Housing & Works Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada said that the construction sector serves as the backbone of Pakistan’s economy, creating employment and contributing significantly to economic growth.Initiatives like Build Pakistan are strengthening public-private partnerships and fostering technology exchange to establish projects that lay the foundation for inclusive and sustainable economic development,” he stated.He emphasized that under the directives of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, providing affordable and quality housing for low-income groups remains a top priority for the government. Development without research, planning, and eco-friendly policies is not sustainable. We are introducing modern urban models inspired by international cities to ensure long-term, climate-resilient growth. Our youth are the real asset of the nation — the foundation of Pakistan’s prosperous future,” he added.
In his remarks, Punjab Minister for Law Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan said that the Punjab government considers the construction industry central to economic revival, job creation, and urban development. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the provincial government is committed to providing a conducive and investor-friendly environment for the construction industry,” he said. He noted that such events not only enhance international investor confidence but also provide valuable opportunities for knowledge and skills exchange among young engineers, designers, and local industrialists. We aim to expand public-private partnership models for urban development across all districts to improve the quality of life for our citizens,” he added.
The three-day event will continue until November 1, featuring the latest advancements in construction technology, including: Modular housing systems, Energy-efficient building materials, Digital design tools, Green construction models, the concurrent Build Pakistan Conference includes expert panel discussions and technical sessions on affordable housing, green construction, smart cities, and climate-resilient infrastructure — all aligned with the National Climate Change Policy and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
