SGPC takes action after their names surface in an immoral case

Amritsar, September 17 , Kanwar Partap Singh / Tajeemnoor Kaur -The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) has suspended Sri Akal Takht Sahib’s Additional Head Granthi Bhai Malkit Singh and S. Mohan Singh, who is serving as a driver at Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib, with immediate effect after their names surfaced in an immoral case.

The action was taken on the directions of SGPC president Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami following reports that came to light.

In a statement issued from the SGPC office, SGPC Chief Secretary S. Kulwant Singh Mannan said the action against Additional Head Granthi Bhai Malkit Singh and driver S. Mohan Singh was taken after information about the matter emerged through the media.

He said that, as per the directions of SGPC president Advocate Dhami, both employees had been suspended from service and the Flying Department had been directed to conduct a detailed inquiry into the matter.

He said the Sikh institution, SGPC, would not spare any employee whose name is found to be involved in immoral activities.
