PDWP Approves Six Development Schemes Worth Rs. 15.58 Billion

The 40th meeting of the Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP), chaired by Chairman Planning & Development Board Dr. Naeem Rauf, approved six development schemes amounting to Rs. 15,589.126 million (Rs. 15.58 billion) across various sectors.

The approved schemes include:
1. Land Acquisition at Various Sites of Punjab for the development of tourist facilitation infrastructure — at an estimated cost of Rs. 1,000 million.
2. Construction of Lahore Museum (New Block) — at an estimated cost of Rs. 5,605.650 million.
3. Establishment of a Program Management Unit for the Punjab Tourism Rehabilitation and Revamping Project — (Position Paper for creation of posts and procurement of vehicles).
4. Punjab Smog Mitigation and Response Initiative – Air Safe — at an estimated cost of Rs. 5,381 million.
5. Establishment of Eco-Tourism Facility at Lal Suhanra National Park as per international best practices (Conservation of Desert Ecosystem) — at an estimated cost of Rs. 3,602.476 million.
6. Accelerate Punjab (Position Paper).

The meeting was attended by Chief Economist Mr. Masood Anwar, Members of P&D, and other senior officers.
