NCA Hosts Archives Exhibition and Musical Evening in Honour of Sikh Pilgrims, Emphasising Interfaith Harmony

Lahore (18 June Nazrana Times ) The National College of Arts (NCA) organised an Archives Exhibition and Musical Evening in honour of visiting Sikh pilgrims, with Punjab Minister for Minority Affairs Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora attending as the chief guest.
The event was hosted by Vice Chancellor NCA, Professor Dr. Murtaza Jafri, who welcomed the minister and the distinguished guests.

A large number of Sikh pilgrims, artists, intellectuals, faculty members and students attended the event and appreciated the students’ artworks and archival exhibition.

Addressing the ceremony, Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora said that Pakistan represents a beautiful blend of diverse religions, cultures and traditions. He stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, significant initiatives are being undertaken for minority welfare and youth development.
He said that art, culture and education serve as powerful tools to bridge gaps between communities, adding that institutions such as the National College of Arts are playing a vital role in promoting interfaith harmony and cultural dialogue.

He emphasised the importance of connecting the younger generation with their shared cultural heritage and history, noting that students are the true ambassadors of a peaceful, progressive and inclusive society.
The minister said that Pakistan remains a place of deep respect, devotion and hospitality for the Sikh community, and that pilgrims from around the world are honoured guests in the country.

He reiterated the government’s commitment to facilitating Sikh pilgrims and preserving religious heritage sites across the province.
The exhibition highlighted Pakistan’s cultural heritage, artistic history and intercultural linkages. The event concluded with a musical evening celebrating cultural diversity and harmony.
